Hello, I’m Yung.

I’m a Melbourne-based product designer with 12 years of experience across industries — evolving from crafting brand identities to scaling products and design teams. I specialise in building products that improve how people work, particularly through data-driven people and workforce platforms.

Originally from Kuala Lumpur, I began my career in 2012 crafting brand identities and digital experiences. This background in visual storytelling and user experience shaped how I approach product design challenges today.

I’m currently Head of Design at Staffie, building solutions for Singapore’s F&B staffing challenges. Our platform connects businesses with qualified part-time staff, actively supporting hundreds of weekly active businesses and over a thousand gig workers.

Previously at Knoetic, I designed People Analytics and the CPOHQ community for Chief People Officers, combining powerful analytics with insights from an exclusive community of the world’s top 2,000 HR executives.

At Workmate, I led the design team for an on-demand staffing platform focused on improving employment opportunities for blue-collar workers across Southeast Asia.

Prior to that, I co-founded Gridhaus, a design consultancy in Singapore dedicated to advancing SMEs through strategic design and branding that drives clear, goal-oriented outcomes.

I document other interests on YouTube as a way to practice visual storytelling through video.

My love for print and visual design lives on through a visual archive on Instagram, a print store, and a visual asset shop . I also spent my thesis year researching and experimenting how to expand the possibilities of inkjet, laser, and risograph printers.
